The Executive Search Process
The executive search process will usually be initiated by a formal letter of engagement that is developed to finalize our agreement on service provided and fees. The information presented thus far will provide an overview of our history, qualifications, and experience as they relate to your need to search for, attract, and recruit key executives.
The following are the expected time parameters for key segments of the search process:
(1) Meet with critical members of executive team to review and finalize search specifications and develop written summary to guide search efforts. Initiate research and contact with target members of OTI executive data base. Set goal to identify "bench mark candidate" to interview with you.(30-45 days)
(2) Complete research, review long list of potential candidates with you, conduct interviews with identified candidates, and present slate of candidates to be interviewed by those designated in your company to review qualifications and organization "fit"( this is where we shine!!), and narrow to final 1-3 candidates.(next 45-60 days) We have found that availability of company representative to evaluate candidates has significant impact on this time parameter!! We determine with each client the level of involvement they prefer during this phase.
(3) Complete selection process and facilitate mutual agreement with selected candidate to insure that best fit is "brought on board". Build rapport through out the process to maximize success. In addition, transition plan from previous to your organization is finalized. Work with you and new executive to insure effective assimilation.(final 30 days)

Because of this long term strategy, we have access to the bulk of companies in most industry segments and have no industry "blockages". We also have developed a top flight track record for search success with a wide range of multiple size corporations which have been some of our best long-term clients(e.g., American Express, ECI Telecom, McDonald's, Motorola, Oce Printing Systems, SBA, Siemens, Verizon, Urecoats)!
A senior member of executive consulting team will conduct the search and may be joined by another senior member of our team to maximize success. Our office in Warwick, RI is very close to most locations in New England and we are very well equipped to sell the region when needed and identify local talent based on our 15 year history as a Consulting Company. Our south Florida offices provide similar coverage throughout Florida and other locations in the southeastern region.
As you can see from the biographies included at this site, we all have extensive corporate executive and consulting experience. We guarantee to replace the person selected if they leave within 1 years from their start date at no charge other than normal search expense.
Our standard professional fee is 331/3% of first-year cash compensation which includes base salary, and first year bonuses. The retainer to secure our services is based on a reasonable estimate of the first year compensation and payable 1/3 at start of assignment, 1/3 at 30 days and 1/3 at 60 days. The balance or refund is billed at the conclusion based on final agreed compensation.
Based on a review of your search strategy, we may complete the search for for a reduced percentage with the expectation that you will become a long-term client!! All direct expenses incurred (i.e. phone, mail, interview expense consultant and candidate travel etc.) will be itemized and billed on a monthly basis. We have successfully kept these expenses well below (20-30%) national averages.
